What Nigel is

Nigel is an AI travel-stylist: it plans outfits for your trips, renders images of you wearing them, and helps you find pieces to buy. To do that well, it processes personal data you choose to give it. This policy explains what, why, and your controls.

What we collect

  • Account — your login identity (via Auth0: Apple, Google, or email), name, and email.
  • Your photos — reference photos you provide of yourself, and photos of your clothing. These may include your face and likeness.
  • Style data — your preferences, wardrobe descriptions (including brands you enter), trips, generated outfits, and saved looks.
  • Purchases — Pins purchases via Apple In-App Purchase or Stripe. We never see full card numbers.
  • Usage — feature usage and API activity tied to your account or an anonymous install id, used for reliability and cost control.

How your photos are used

Your reference photos are used for exactly one purpose: rendering try-on images of you in outfits — including AI-generated images that reproduce your likeness. Photos are stored privately (encrypted in transit, access-scoped storage) and are sent to AI image-generation providers solely to produce your renders. We do not use your photos to train models, do not sell them, and do not share them except as needed to provide the service. Renders of you are private unless you explicitly share a look, which makes that image public at a link you control and can revoke.

AI processing

Outfit planning, styling chat, tagging, product search, and image generation are performed by third-party AI providers (including Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI) acting as processors. Text and images required for each feature are sent to them per-request; we select providers that do not train on API data.

Sharing & third parties

Service providers we rely on: Auth0 (login), Railway (hosting), Amazon Web Services (storage), Stripe and Apple (payments), AI providers listed above, and Decart (live try-on video processing). Product links open third-party stores — their sites are governed by their own policies. We do not sell personal data.

Retention & deletion

Your data is retained while your account exists. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) permanently removes your synced data, photos, renders, purchase-credit ledger, and shared-look pages from our systems. Local data can be erased any time from Settings.

Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data — in-app or by writing to privacy@exelsior.co. Depending on your region (GDPR/CCPA), you may have additional rights, which we honour on request.

Children

Nigel is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post updates here; material changes will be announced in-app.
